Nokia Handsfree Integration

I integrated my Nokia 5800/6800 series phone into the factory system using Ed Palisoc's Nokia v.2 prototype.  The installation makes use of the factory installed microphone and speakers.  The factory microphone is located in the overhead center console next to the sunroof controller, in my car.  Since I have the Bose audio package, the speaker is located in the driverside door panel.  The additional benefit is that the stereo mutes when a call is placed or received.

Nokia v.2 Installation Instructions

The Nokia cradle is shown above.  The cable is run to the converter.  The converter is hidden under the rear seat cushion.  From the converter, a line is run to the trunk to plug into the factory harness.  Another line is also run to an external antenna.  I mounted the antenna in the rear side window as shown in the picture below
